Press Release
Hart Energy Publishing prevents password sharing
Silver Spring, Maryland, October 19, 2007
Hart Energy has successfully deployed Cranium Softworks’ Entitlement Management Solution to prevent subscribers from sharing passwords for access to company’s global energy information publications.
EMS tracks the sharing of user id’s and passwords and enforces the number of users accessing the web site for corporate site licenses.
Speaking on the use of the solution, Rons Dixon, CIO at Hart Energy said, “EMS has been an important part of our web presence as we continue to increase the sophistication of the products offered to our customers. EMS has identified subscribers that have violated copyright and usage terms. We are using this detailed data from EMS to negotiate new licenses with the offending customers which will result in additional subscription revenue for the company.”
