Hart Energy Publishing has deployed Cranium Content Publisher (CCP) for their online newsletter periodicals and Entitlement Management Server (EMS) to track subscriber activity.

CCP allows Hart Energy to streamline the editorial process. In-house and remote authors both use the same interface, Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer. These articles are stored in CCP’s central XML repository. This repository is used to publish each article in multiple formats:

• HTML
• XML
• SQL database updates
• Formatted Word document for print layout

CCP assures consistency of style and format for each publication through the use of customized publishing templates.

Hart Energy uses Entitlement Management Server (EMS) to track the activity of each subscriber. Subscriber activity is captured in a database for future reporting. These actual usage reports allow Hart to negotiate renewal licenses that reflect actual online usage.
